From 20-23 May Interzum takes place in Cologne where international suppliers to the furniture and interior design industries will gather once again. The final preparations for the industry’s most important event in the world are in full swing, and the high level of registrations is further confirmation of the relevance of the leading international trade fair for the sector.
From high-quality materials and surface finishes through to smart components and state-of-the-art technologies – the full spectrum of the value chain in the furniture production and interior design industries will be on show at interzum. Numerous new product launches are unveiled to the public for the first time at the event, making the trade fair the innovation hub for the industry.

In addition, prestigious companies such as Ergomotion, Fritz Kohl, Parmel, Rehau, Stanzwerk Wetter, Swiss Krono and Toppan with Interprint are returning to interzum – a clear mark of the trade fair’s significance as the key forum for the industry.
Central theme for 2025: Rethinking Resources
Sustainability will remain the overarching theme for interzum. Guided by its central theme, Rethinking Resources: Circular and Biobased Solutions, the trade fair will focus on material cycles and innovative biobased materials. Resource-efficient production processes are crucial to the industry’s future, and this key topic will feature prominently in both the exhibitors’ presentations and the first-class event programme.

A further highlight will be the prestigious interzum award, which honours exceptionally innovative products, production processes and materials developed by international suppliers to the furniture industry. At interzum 2025, an international expert jury will select the most outstanding solutions from 146 entries submitted by 80 exhibitors from 23 countries. Prizes will be awarded in four categories – including the new category, Rethinking Resources. The prize-winning exhibits will be displayed in a dedicated exhibition on the Boulevard North.
