Technology Highlights at Ligna (Hall 13, Stand C56)

Integrated Cell System for the Furniture Industry

This system comprises a flexible beam saw and edgebanding cell, followed by a drilling cell, integrating automation with high-quality production for customised furniture solutions. Capable of processing up to 1,200 components per shift, it combines SCM machinery with automatic storage, robots, handling systems, software, and digital services for continuous, efficient production.

The cutting stage utilises the “gabbiani a2” angular panel sizing machine, featuring an automatic sequence of longitudinal and transversal cuts for batch-1 or large-scale production. Automatic unloading is managed by a robot, ensuring seamless transition to labelling and edgebanding.

Edgebanding is performed by the flexible “stefani cell E”, ensuring high productivity and machining quality. The automated pickback gantry system manages panel return, while unloading can be automated or manual. The new “morbidelli fx100” drilling machine offers batch-1 machining with drilling, dowelling, and milling on all four panel sides, maximising flexibility and productivity.

SCM will also present multimedia demonstrations of automated woodworking processes for furniture, windows, doors, flooring, construction, and surface treatment, integrating CMS solutions for machining materials like glass, marble, metal, plastic, and composites.

CNC Machining Centres for Nesting: “morbidelli x50”

The “morbidelli x50” will debut in its new PRO-SPACE version, featuring SMS software for spoilboard management, High Grip Vacuum technology for enhanced workpiece stability, and a patented spoilboard panel reducing consumption by 90%. Operator safety is ensured with a bumper protection system.

CNC Machining Centres for Drilling and Routing: “accord 500”

Designed for complex woodworking, the “accord 500” introduces the “Optizone” system, which automatically adjusts work areas based on programming needs. Other features include the SVP function for independent piece locking and the Quadro 35 chain tool magazine for optimised tool management.

Beam Saw: “gabbiani pt95”

The “gabbiani pt95” offers high efficiency for both batch-1 and mass production. Features include the Flexcut unit for precise cutting, powerful blade motors, LED indicators for guided positioning, and an angular cutting device.

Edge Bander: “stefani m”

This highly configurable industrial edge bander provides precision machining in standalone or integrated production. The “electronic touch” feature simplifies operation, while automatic setup ensures repeatability and quality.

Timber Construction: New CNC Machining Centre “oikos xs 650”

Making its debut, the “oikos xs 650” enhances performance and flexibility for processing beams up to 650×310 mm. It features updated “Maestro lab beam&wall” software for improved programming and user experience. Visitors can also explore Randek’s latest timber frame innovations at the adjacent booth.

Solid Wood Machining: “topset xxl” Throughfeed Moulder

The “topset xxl” introduces expanded working sections, spindle speeds up to 12,000 rpm, and customisable feed worktables for optimal tool setup.

Joinery Machines

Highlighted models include the compact “evocut 350i” circular saw, offering high-quality cuts up to 46°; the versatile “nova si 4” and “minimax si 4” sliding table saws, featuring a 10-year guaranteed sliding carriage; and the “L’invincibile si 3BO” circular saw with an advanced safety system.

Additional exhibits include the “L’invincibile ti 7” electronic spindle moulder, the “L’invincibile fs 7” surfacing-thicknessing planer, the “t 40” edge bander, and the “startech cn k” compact routing machine.

Surface Treatment Solutions (Hall 16, Stand D05)

SCM and Superfici will showcase sanding, pressing, and painting solutions for high-end finishes. The “dmc system t” sanding machine features a CO2 laser unit for 3D surface engraving, while the “dmc system tm 1350” includes a crossbelt unit for superior finishes.

Superfici will present the “maestro” painting robot for windows and doors, featuring advanced software, and the upgraded “mini” automatic spraying machine with a new integrated colour-change system. The high-performance “magnum” painting machine, “valtorta f1” flexible roller coater, and UV LED Matrix polymerisation system will also be displayed.

Tecno Logica: Advanced Automation

Adjacent to SCM in Hall 13, Tecno Logica will present its cutting-edge robotic solutions for woodworking, enhancing automation, productivity, and flexibility. These systems complement SCM’s engineering solutions for large-scale industries.
