Holz-Her – Challenge Calderbook This March

Clare Hollister

This Spring, you are invited to Challenge Calderbrook. From the 21st-22nd March 2024, the machinery distributor will open its Bacup showroom doors to manufacturers looking for real-time edging results.

The two day event will centre around Holz-Her’s patented Glu Jet system – a standard feature on all Holz-Her edgebanders – with demonstrations taking place on Holz-Her’s Artea 1030 with VISE setting and the Auriga 1308 XL Power with automatic servo setting.

But these aren’t just any machinery demonstrations. To prove just how easy Holz-Her’s edgebanding solutions are to use when creating finished panels in one pass, visitors are encouraged to bring their most challenging edging or board for the team to edge during the event. From state-of-the-art, high gloss edging right up to thick cross sections in solid wood, Holz-Her’s Glu Jet makes flexible manufacturing and high-strength and near invisible joints a reality.

Aaron Hoyle, Director of Calderbook Woodworking Machinery says: “We want our customers to see real results, not pre-prepared results that may be difficult to replicate in true working conditions. We don’t know what board or edging our customers will turn up with on the day and as a result, visitors will get to see exactly what our machines are capable of.

“The idea behind Challenge Calderbook is to promote our confidence in Holz-Her’s edgebanders. It’s our way of helping our customers get a true understanding of what can be achieved when using the latest technology from Holz-Her and why the Glu Jet surpasses traditional gluing systems. As well as accepting any challenge that comes our way, we will also be running EVA and PUR applications on two popular edgebanders chosen to represent different price points and manufacturing requirements. Our team will be on hand throughout the event to talk you through every aspect of glue application and to help you keep up to speed with the very latest specifications and maintenance advice. So, what are you waiting for? Challenge Calderbrook this March!”
