Surface preparation has never been easier, smarter, cleaner, and more efficient than with Mirka UK Ltd’s cutting-edge tools, abrasives and extractor systems, which are transforming the finishing process. At stand E72, the company will showcase its latest innovations and will be running demos throughout the show so attendees can see first-hand the tools’ performance benefits.
The tools on show and available to demo are the highly versatile Mirka® DEROS II and DEOS II, which have an upgraded electric motor that delivers up to 20 per cent more power and ensures the sanders make light work of demanding jobs and heavy applications. The powerful Mirka® DEROS Rotary Sander (RS) 600 blends power and precision inside a user-centric design and is powered by a robust 750W brushless motor that ensures it can sand a wide variety of materials and applications efficiently, while minimising vibrations and noise. In addition, it helps provide users with a dust-free workspace as it effectively contains the dust generated when in use with the help of its suction system, which is distributed around the backing pad to ensure optimal performance beyond hole alignment, reducing health risks.
To complement the sanders and to showcase Mirka’s extractor range will be the Mirka® DEXOS 1230 M Class AFC dust extractor, which is powered by a 1200-watt brushless electric motor to ensure dust is quickly and efficiently removed from surfaces.
The R&D team also focused on versatility with this extractor because it can handle both wet and dry applications and is compatible with multiple tool types. This helps reduce downtime as tools do not need to be switched from job to job.
Mirka will also be exhibiting Abranet Ò Ace, a premium net product that features ceramic grains that deliver a faster, more aggressive cut. Its robust grain impregnation prolongs the life and ensures fewer sanding defects and less grain breakage. In addition, it has an improved backing that provides better disc grip adhesion and enhanced edge wear, so it is more effective and longer lasting.
Alongside Abranet® Ace, Mirka’s team of technical experts will be shining a light on Ultimax® and Ultimax® Black. Ultimax® features Mirka’s patented Selective Coating™ technology, which is a production process that involves a series of tiny cavities specially optimised within the abrasive material to prevent clogging. This ensures the product’s longer life span and reduces the material used per job. The next generation of the Ultimax® range is Ultimax® Black. This wide belt is suitable for sanding hard materials and hardwood surfaces, reducing material waste. It also combines a thick, high-quality backing paper with a silicon carbide grain and patented selective coating material. This combination ensures strong, stable performance without breaking, folding or twisting, even in the coarser grits.
